Dr. Imani Pitman
Public Policy Impact Partner
Dr. Pitman is a nonprofit and social impact leader with over a decade of experience advancing community-centered change and cross-sector collaboration. As Founder of IAP Consulting, she partners with philanthropic and nonprofit organizations to strengthen strategy, design meaningful evaluation frameworks, and craft narratives that align programs with funder priorities.
She also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Illinois Chicago, teaching graduate courses in advocacy and human development and preparing future social workers to drive systems-level change.
Dr. Pitman holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from UIC-JACSW, where her dissertation examined social capital access among Black emerging adults through a Critical Race Theory lens. She also earned an MSW in Leadership & Social Change and a B.A. in Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
